It is sited on a 2-acre parcel overlooking a working horse ranch, where you can watch the ponies gallop from the upstairs terrace or from the expansive wrap-around veranda with porch swing, all on Capra Ranch, once owned by Frank Capra, frequently referred to as the "greatest filmmaker of all time" for "It's a Wonderful Life" and other cinematic masterpieces. This home is often mistaken for a historically designated "time capsule," yet it was completed in 1985 and offers all the grandeur and features of a "turn of the century" estate. Featuring a Grand Entrance with a sweeping staircase, a Grand Dining Room w/ crystal chandelier, a conservatory (greenhouse), a breakfast sunroom, a massive Great Room, a Library, Sewing Room/Office/Laundry, and even a butler's pantry for the caterers. The aluminum roof was replaced in July 2020, at which time the exterior wood was renewed and professionally painted.
